Angolan businessman António Mosquito on 12 February will become the main shareholder of Portuguese construction company Soares da Costa, with a 66.7 percent stake, Soares da Costa said in a statement Friday.
“Through an agreement with the investor [António Mosquito], 12 February 2014 has been set as the day for conclusion of the operation that was announced to the market on 13 August 2013 and 26 November 2013,” said the statement issued via Portuguese market regulator, CMVM.
Mosquito’s investment in Soares da Costa will be made through a capital increase of US$70 million, which will be entirely subscribed by the Angolan businessman.
The remaining 33.3 percent of Soares da Costa’s capital will remain in the hands of Portuguese businessman Manuel Fino, who currently owns 100 percent of the company. (macauhub)
