Angolan bank Banco Comercial Angolano (BCA) plans this year to open 14 new branches as part of its policy to expand its services in Angola, the chairman of the bank said in Malange cited by Angolan news agency Angop.
Filipe Martins said that the new branches were intended to bring the banks products and services closer to customers and create financing opportunities for Angolan businesspeople.
The 14 branches will be opened in the cities of Soyo (Zaire province), Lubango (Huila), Porto Amboim, Sumbe (Kwanza Sul), Ndalatando (Kwanza Norte), Namibe, Uíge and Huambo, and in the long term the bank plans to have 42 branches in 15 provinces.
The BCA has 40,000 customers and including the Malange branch now has 28 branches, five of which were opened in Luanda in 2013. (macauhub)
