On 24 and 25 February Mozambique will host the 3rd Forum of Investment Promotion Agencies of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), Mozambique’s Investment Promotion Centre (CPI) said n Maputo.
The event, which will be held in the city of Tete in central Mozambique, follows the recommendation of the meeting of the investment sub-commission held in November in Pretoria, South Africa, which decided these events should be hosted on a rotational basis.
The choice of Mozambique and Tete in particular is as recognition of the massive investments made in the country, particularly in the mining, industrial and infrastructure sectors.
During the forum participants will visit locations of economic interest such as mining, agricultural and tourism projects in Tete.
From 4 to 14 February Mozambique’s CPI approved 17 investment projects worth a total US$86.4 million for the provinces of Zambézia, Niassa, Sofala and Maputo, as well as the city of Maputo itself. (macauhub)
