The number of passengers transported from Portugal to Cabo Verde (Cape Verde) by Cape Verdean flagship airline Transportes Aéreos de Cabo Verde (TACV) rose by 29 percent in 2013, the airline’s delegate for Portugal and Spain said.

Cited by specialist magazine Turisver, Mário Almeida said he was satisfied with last year’s performance and that he was optimistic about 2014.

In terms of overall sales TACV’s market grew by “between 12 percent and 16 percent, depending on whether or not taxes are included,” and “in terms of expected cash flow that rose by around 29 percent over our budget,” Almeida said.

TACV currently offers six flights per week between Portugal and Cabo Verde and at Easter – starting on 7 April – will offer “a second flight to Boavista with Soltrópico, as other flights are already fully-booked.” (macauhub)
