Brazil’s Embraer expects net revenue of around US$6 billion in 2014

Brazilian aeronautical company Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica (Embraer) expects this year to post net revenue of between US$6 billion and US$6.5 billion, the company said when it announced its results for 2013.

The projected revenue in 2014 is based on growth of the Defence and Security segment and estimated deliveries of between 92 and 97 commercial jets, 25 large aircraft and between 80 and 90 executive jets.

Embraer also announced that its portfolio of firm orders had increased to US$18.2 billion at the end of the year, which is a rise of 46 percent against the US$12.4 billion at the end of 2012.

In the fourth quarter of 2013 the company delivered 32 commercial aircraft and 53 executive jets (38 light jets and 15 large jets) and ended the year with 90 commercial aircraft and 119 executive jets delivered.

As a result of delivering the aircraft and growth of the Defence and Security segment, net revenue rose to 5.296 billion reals in the fourth quarter and 13.636 billion reals (US$5.807 billion) for the year. (macauhub)
