During his stay in Beijing, Chui met with the secretary of the Provincial Committee of Guangdong of the Chinese Communist Party, Hu Chunhua, and the governor of the same province, Zhu Xiaodan, to discuss extending the opening hours of border control, the project for the new access route between Guangdong and Macau and the new customs model amongst other issues.

The meeting also discussed the request for free trade areas between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau, which is supported by the Macau government, and future working meetings with the province are planned for the future, said Chui Sai On. (macauhub)
