The Luanda International Fair (FIL) aims to organise more fairs with a view to promoting the Angolan economy, the company’s president, Matos Cardoso, said on Tuesday in Luanda.
On the sidelines of the ceremony to launch the upcoming 4th Angola 2014 International Environment Fair, the FIL president said Angola urgently needed to enhance and improve its trade balance so that it can significantly lower imports and produce enough for consumption and exports.
With support from other entities, FIL thus plans to organise more fairs meant to attract investors from various countries, with events scheduled in line with national and international sector calendars.
Regarding the strategy planned for this year, Matos Cardoso said his company would focus on promoting industry, agriculture, mines, tourism and other economic sectors that create jobs, especially for young people.
The 2014 Angola Environment Fair will be held this coming 5-8 June at the Luanda International Fair facilities (Filda) and count the participation of 95 exhibitors from Angola and countries such as Brazil, China, France, Germany, Portugal, South Africa, Spain and the United States. (macauhub)
