The Luanda International Fair (FIL) and the Barcelona International Fair are due in April to sign a cooperation agreement to identify and attract foreign investment and strategic partnerships, the chairman of FIL, Matos Cardoso said Tuesday in Luanda.
At the end of a meeting between the business fair organisers, the chairman of FIL said that the two had agreed to exchange visits to fairs in which each of them take part or are represented, as well as exchanging information.
Matos Cardoso, and Ricard Zapatero, of the Barcelona International Fair, also agreed to organise fair together, in line with FIL’s ambition to become Africa’s largest fair organiser.
The aim, Matos Cardoso said, cited by Angolan news agency Angop, “is to allow the whole of Africa, via Angola, to have access to technology and establish the partnerships it needs for economic development.”
The agreement signed in April also includes training of FIL staff at the Barcelona International Fair and opens the way to other possibilities for cooperation focused on attracting investments to Angola. (macauhub)
