US group Goodyear, which has been in the Mozambican market for 25 years, plans to expand the sale of its tyres into Tete province this year, Mozambican daily newspaper Correio da Manhã said in its Wednesday edition.
The newspaper reported that the move is part of the group’s strategic plan for 2014. Goodyear has points of sale in the cities of Maputo and Beira.
A source fro the group told the newspaper that the idea of selling in Tete was to “capitalise on development of the production sector and respond to growth of the automotive sector in the country.”
Around 30 US companies operate in the Mozambican market, according to information from the US-Mozambique Chamber of Commerce. (macauhub)
