Macau received 5.06 million visitors in January and February of this year, which is an annual rise of 8 percent and accounts for over 85,000 people per day, the Statistics and Census Bureau said.
In the first two months of the year, the number of visitors from mainland China, from South Korea and Japan increased by 14 percent, 21 percent and 7 percent, respectively and from Hong Kong and Taiwan fell by 6 percent and 4 percent, respectively.
In February 2.56 million visitors entered Macau, of which 1.7 million where from mainland China. The number of visitors from South Korea (52,400) and Japan (25,700) rose by 33 percent and 23 percent, respectively, year on year. (macauhub)
