The Angolan National Institute to Support Micro, Small and Medium-sized Companies (Inapem) certified 2,709 companies in 2013, the Institute’s president, António Francisco Assis, said Thursday in Luanda cited by Angolan news agency Angop.
At the opening session of the 1st Consultation Council of Inapem, Assis noted that of the companies certified 1,730 were classified as micro companies, 561 as small companies and 418 as medium-sized companies.
The president of the institute also said that in 2013 there was a 51.5 percent drop in the number of companies certified compared to the previous year, in which 5,587 companies received certification.
The 1st Consultation Council of Inapem, which is due to end Friday, amongst other issued will discuss professional training and programmes for reconversion of the informal economy and the Angola Investe programme. (macauhub)
