Angola’s Foreign affairs Minister, Georges Rebelo Pinto Chikoti announced in Moscow that the satellite Angosat will be built and launched as part of a joint project between Angola and Russia within three years.
After a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov, the Angolan minister said that a team of specialists had already been set up to carry out the project.
Chikoti, cited by Russian newspaper Russia Daily, also said that it would be necessary to set up structures in Angola before the project goes ahead, which may happen over the next three years.
The Angolan minister, who is in Moscow on an official three-day visit, said that the Angola-Russia Mixed Two-way Commission would meet for the third time in the second half of this year. (macauhub)
