Angolan government approves diploma to make setting up companies easier

22 April 2014

Approval by the Angolan government of a new diploma for creation of companies makes it easier to establish partnerships between national and foreign companes, the president of the National Private Investment Agency (ANIP) said Sunday in Luanda.

According to Angolan news agency Angop, Maria Luísa Abrantes said that the Angolan government had adopted a set of policies to drive the business sector.

“It is important for small businesses to be legalised so that the future big businesspeople can have greater vision to expand their businesses and contribute to tax revenues,” she said.

Abrantes also said that the new diploma could contribute to diversification of the national economy, which is almost entirely dependent on oil production. (macauhub/AO)
