2 May 2014

Cabo Verde’s (Cape Verde) economic climate indicator in the first quarter fell back against the final quarter of 2013, with the rate of economic growth slowing, the archipelago’s National Statistics Institute (INE) said.

According to the economic climate survey for the first quarter of 2014, the indicator also fell back against the same period of 2013.

The economic climate indicator is calculated based on opinions provided by businesspeople from the construction, retail, tourism, manufacturing, transport and auxiliary transport services sectors.

In the manufacturing sector the confidence indicator rose against the year-ago quarter although the remaining sectors performed negatively. (macauhub/CV)
