Twenty four new investment contracts, with a joint value of US$39 million, were signed Thursday, in Luanda by the president of the National Private Investment Agency (ANIP), Maria Luísa Abrantes, and Angolan and foreign businesspeople.

The contracts are for projects in the industrial, retail, telecommunications, construction, services, and agro-livestock business in Kuando Kubango province.

After signing the contract, Abrantes said she was happy as half of the 24 contracts were for small projects linked to the manufacturing industry.

“Since the second quarter of 2013 we have seen a growing number of projects linked to industrial activities as well as to investors who direct their projects outside of Luanda province,” said the ANIP president, according to Angolan news agency Angop. (macauhub/AO)
