Angolan company Refriango expects to increase its sales “10-fold” following a strategic partnership agreement signed with Portuguese group Delta Cafés, the chief executive of the Angolan company, Carlos Santos said in Lisbon.

Under the terms of the agreement, Delta Cafés will be the official distributor of the Angolan company’s products in Portugal, specifically of the Blue brand, which is one of the 15 brands the company owns.

Cited by Portuguese news agency Lusa, Santos said that the estimate for the first full year of the partnership is to post sales of “five million litres” in the Portuguese market, which represents around 800 million litres per year.

Refriango has been in the Portuguese market for three years.

“So far we have worked with several distributors,” but after signing the strategic partnership with Delta Cafés, Refriango expects “a big leap” as it leverages the Portuguese group’s network in the country.

Blue is a brand of soft drinks that accounts for 30 percent of Refriango’s sales. (macauhub/AO/PT)
