A delegation from Macau will take part in August in the “Meeting of businesspeople for economic and trade cooperation between China and the Portuguese-speaking countries, Maputo – 2014,” the Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) said.
According to the institute, sending the delegation, which will take part in the meeting held from 24 to 17 August, is intended to boost Macau’s role as a platform of economic and trade cooperation services between China and the Portuguese-speaking countries and to boost trade links with those countries.
This year’s meeting is organised by the Mozambique Export Promotion Institute alongside the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and IPIM. The meeting will include presentations, contact meetings and exhibitions.
The event’s organisers intend to boost cooperation between China and the Portuguese-speaking regions and countries, explore new cooperation projects as well strengthen economic and trade exchange between everyone involved.
The meeting is part of a protocol of cooperation signed by the nine trade promotion bodies and chambers of commerce of China and the Portuguese-speaking countries that are part of the Forum for economic and Trade Cooperation between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macau), in October 2003.
