Two hundred and fifty Angolan and foreign companies from the industrial, oil, agro-livestock and food sectors are taking part from Thursday to Sunday in the 2nd edition of the International Business Opportunities Fair (Expo/Cabinda 2014) in Cabinda, Angola.
The fair, which is held in the Tafe multipurpose pavilion, is organised by the Cabinda provincial government and the Luanda International Fair (FIL), and includes exhibitors from Congo Brazzaville, the democratic Republic of Congo, Germany and Portugal.
The deputy governor for the economic and business sector, Macário Lembe, said that the fair was intended to encourage the province’s business sector and re-launch on the market for business partnerships and opportunities taking local economic resources into consideration.
The 2013 edition of the fair had 56 exhibitors from Angola’s Zaire, Luanda, Kwanza Sul, Benguela, Namibe, Huíla and Huambo provinces.
The fair is held as part of an agreement signed by the Cabinda provincial government and FIL, which is valid for three years, and the first edition of the fair was held in May 2013. (macauhub/AO)
