Chinese university trains 41 engineers from Angola

30 June 2014

A group of 41 Angolan students completed last weekend their engineering degrees from the Chinese University of Wuhan in Hubei province, reports the Angolan news agency Angop.

The agency indicated that this was the first time that that university has placed such a large number of Angolan personnel on the labour market.

The project that culminated with the training of construction and electronics engineers results from an agreement signed in 2010 by the Angolan Ministry of Public Works and the Chinese company Sinohydro, which is carrying out various projects in Angolan territory.

The graduation ceremony was attended by Angola’s ambassador in China, João Garcia Bires, and by Angola’s vice-consul for the Hong Kong Special Region. (macauhub/AO/CN)
