The Macau Franchise Expo 2014 is due to open Friday with 170 exhibitors, which is an increase of 5.9 percent compared to last year’s expo, said the Macau Trade and Investment promotion Institute (IPIM), one of the event’s organisers.
The expo, which is in its sixth year, will end Sunday and has exhibitors from mainland China, Macau, Hong Kong and Japan as well representatives from Italy, Latvia, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Portugal, Singapore, Switzerland and Vietnam.
MFE will showcase companies offering products and services in the food, retail sales, education, leisure and entertainment, financial, real estate and ºprofessional consulting sectors.
Exhibitors from emerging industries will also be at the expo and one of the highlights this year is “Fujian Street” where exhibitors from Fujian province will promote their products.
The Macao Ideas brand will also have a pavilion at MFE where it will exhibit products “Made in Macau” as well as promoting the city’s cultural and creative industries.
On its first day the Macau Franchise Expo is reserved for businesspeople and the event will be open to the public on Saturday and Sunday. (macauhub/MO)
