The Netherland’s Minister for International Trade and cooperation said in Luanda that Dutch exports to Angola in 2013 totalled 359 million euros.

The Netherlands exported food goods to Angola as well as transport machinery and chemical products.

Minister Lilianne Ploumen told Bloomberg that Dutch imports from Angola totalled 1.1 billion euros and were mainly oil derivatives.

Fifteen Dutch companies operate in Angola and many of them were established there in the 1980s.

One of the largest Dutch investments in Angola is by Heerema, which recently invested US$1.5 billion, in partnership with oil company Total, on the Kaombo oil project for exploration of 12 oil wells. (macauhub/AO)
