1st African Electricity Fair held in Luanda, Angola in September

The first edition of the African Electricity Fair (Expoasea 2014) is due to be held in Luanda from 9 to 11 September and will be attended by at least 40 countries, said fair host Feira Internacional de Luanda (FIL).

The event, which is organised by Angolan power company Empresa Nacional de Electricidade (ENE) and power distribution company Empresa de Distribuição de Electricidade de Luanda (EDEL), in partnership with FIL, will present new power production and transformation equipment, said Tatiana Vissolela Augusto.

Augusto also told Angolan news agency Angop that the fair was intended to bring together the main companies in the sector to present new projects and solutions, set up partnerships in a market with great potential and to present a variety of national and international solutions for the sector.

The fair, which will be held at the Talatona convention Centre” and entitle “The Energy Mix in Africa, Challenges and Prospects,” will be attended by companies from countries such as China, Israel, Brazil, India, France and the Ivory Coast. (macauhub/AO)
