The third edition of Expomar Cabo Verde – a fair for business activities linked to the sea will have a more entrepreneurial and commercial focus, said the secretary-general of the Windward Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture and Services (CCIASB) in Cabo Verde (Cape Verde).
Adriano Cruz also said that the fair, scheduled for 6 to 8 November on the island of Sao Vicente, is a response to the challenge issued by the Operational Sea Cluster Core (Nocmar), as part of the plan to start activities from Sao Vincent, with the support of the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Directorate-General for Fisheries and national and international partners.
The president of CCIASB said that some of the topics covered at this year’s Expomar included public investments hat are already underway and ongoing privatisation of logistics services, port and shipping, all of which are ways to attract foreign direct investment and from Cape Verdeans living overseas.
Cruz said that exhibitors from Spain and Portugal had already confirmed their attendance and that organisers were working to attract exhibitors from Luxembourg and Brazil. (macauhub/CV)
