Huawei plans to increase its presence in Brazil

The vice president of Huawei for South America and Brazil said in Sao Paulo that the company plans to increase its market share in Brazil.

Cao Beijing, who was speaking at the 16th edition of Futurecom 2014, the largest telecommunications fair in Brazil, noted that Huawei had been in Brazil for 15 years and had a 40 percent share of the country’s telecommunications equipment market.

Huawei is the main partner of the fair that has just closed and was attended by 350 international telecommunications companies and more than 15,000 visitors.

At the event Chinese company presented its new phone, the Ascend Mate 7, which was released in September.

Huawei works in Brazil with major telecom operators, notably Vivo and Tim. (macauhub/BR/CN)
