The 19th edition of the Macau International Fair (MIF) ended Sunday with the signing of over 130 cooperation agreements and conducting more than 1,500 business contact events, the Macau Institute for Promotion of Trade and Investment Macau (IPIM) said.
The event’s organisers said in a statement that this year there was a greater number of protocols and business contact events although the number of people who attended the fair over the four days were fewer than last year’s edition.
The executive member of IPIM Irene Lau told Teledifusão de Macau that the number of contracts signed surpassed last year and were “three to four times higher.”
Overall, the event, which took place at the Venetian Macao, had 1,900 stands in a 30,000 square metre enclosure showcasing companies and representations from over 50 countries and regions.
One of the novelties of this year was the food and drinks pavilion dedicated to Portuguese-speaking countries.
The 20th edition of the Macau International Fair is scheduled for 22nd to 25th October 2015. (macauhub/MO)
