4 November 2014

Expoindústria, Angola’s 1st Industrial Salon, is taking place in Luanda on 20 and 21 November, according to an official from the Ministry of Industry, who noted that the event was intended to promote Angola’s manufacturing industry through the “Made in Angola,” label.

The Director of the Industrial Development Institute of Angola (IDIA), António David Dias da Silva said Monday that Angola’s Industrial Census, which is underway, is showing that national industrial production has grown to more positive levels than was expected, and it is therefore advisable to develop new initiatives that recognise this reality.

This year, the salon organised by the Ministry of Industry will be held under the theme “Enhancing Made in Angola” and aims to show the quality of domestic products and showcase the best examples of industrial investment in the country, according to Angolan news agency Angop.

The event will be attended by representatives of the sectors of food, beverage, textile, clothing, footwear, wood, pulp, paper and paperboard, chemical, pharmaceutical, minerals and construction, base metals, metal products, machinery and transport equipment materials. (macauhub/AO)
