Indian company Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) intends to continue its international expansion and is now analysing business opportunities in Mozambique and Laos, according to the Press Trust of India (PTI).
The state-owned company, which manufactures power generation equipment and is already present in 76 countries, has been seeking expressions of interest from companies from both Mozambique and Laos to become local agents.
Outside India, the joint production capacity of thermal power plants that use equipment from BHEL exceeds 10,000 megawatts, according to the PTI.
BHEL has eight offices abroad, including in Jakarta (Indonesia), Almaty (Kazakhstan), Dubai (United Arab Emirates) and Shanghai (China).
Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd sells over 180 products along with systems and services in areas such as energy production, transmission, transport, oil and gas and telecommunications. (macauhub/MZ)
