Angola’s flagship airline TAAG will offer seven weekly passenger flights Luanda and Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) Angola’s minister of Transport, Augusto da Silva Tomás said Monday.
Tomás was commenting on the signing of cooperation agreements in the fields of road transport, rail and air between Angola and the DRC, during an official visit of a few hours by the Angolan Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, to the neighbouring country .
The minister, cited by Angola’s Angop news agency said two weekly cargo flights would also be offered between the two capitals, stressing there were “only” a few issues to be sorted out before TAAG’s flights to Kinshasa are resumed.
Tomás said that the agreements (road, rail and air) between Angola and the DRC will strengthen cooperation between the two countries and influence the behaviour of markets, as well as trade and services between them.
The minister said these protocols would create conditions to make the movement of people and goods between the two countries flow better. (macauhub/AO)
