Angola’s participation in the 27th edition of the Lisbon Tourism Fair (BTL) “was positive,” said the technical director of the Institute of Tourist Development (Infotur) of Angola, Laureth da Silva Bravo, cited by Angolan news agency Angop.
Taking stock of Angola’s presence at the event, which ran from 25 February to 1 March at Feira Internacional de Lisboa, the Infotur technical director said he was happy with the number of visitors to the Angola pavilion, which was in excess of 3,000.
At the BTL, Angola showcased, amongst other things, its Seven Natural Wonders, including the Calandula Falls (Malanje), Maiombe Forest (Cabinda), Carumbo Lagoon (Lunda Norte), Nzenzo Caves (Uige), Morro do Moco ( Huambo), Chiumbe River Falls (Lunda Sul) and the Tundavala Rift (Huila).
As well as through the institute, the country was also represented by the province of Benguela, which made its debut through the Hospitality and Tourism Association of Benguela and promoted the tourism potential of that southern region of Angola. (macauhub/AO/PT)
