The International Environmental Technology Fair 2015 will take place on 4 and 5 June in Luanda, with the participation of a hundred national and foreign exhibitors, said the Angolan Secretary of State for the Environment, New Technologies and Environmental Quality.
Sianga Abilio, who presided in Luanda over the event’s launch ceremony, said this edition was focused on waste recycling solutions, with the theme of “Promoting environmental standards in all sectors of the economy.”
The fair, which has taken place every year since 2000, promoted by the Ministry of the Environment and the Luanda International Fair (FIL), is intended to promote a strategy for the sector, in particular the activities of the Directorate of Environmental Technologies.
Abilio noted that this is the first year that the State Secretariat for the Environment for New Technologies and Environmental Quality has promoted activities on education about separating waste and massive afforestation.
The fair aims to promote the potential of the Angolan market, positioning itself as a partner of the Environment Ministry in carrying out activities that make the country more environmentally sustainable. (macauhub/AO)
