Executive Director of the World Bank visits Mozambique

The Executive Director of the World Bank group, Louis René Peter Larose, Monday began a four-day visit to Mozambique, during which he will travel to the province of Nampula, the World Bank said in a statement.

In addition to meetings with top state officials, including the Prime Minister and the Minister of Economy and Finance, Larose will meet with leading figures in the economic sphere and from civil society.

Larose will travel to Nampula, Nacala and Namialo where in addition to meetings with provincial officials he plans to visit economic developments and meet with representatives of the private sector and other state entities.

According to the statement, this visit is an opportunity for Larose to find out firsthand about the priorities and challenges of development in Mozambique, especially after the recent floods. (macauhub/MZ)
