Angola intends to establish partnerships between Chinese and national investors for production of fertilisers in the country, the Angolan minister of Agriculture said Monday in Luanda, during the Angola/Japan Business Forum.
Afonso Pedro Canga also said the partnerships the government seeks to promote include transfer of agricultural technologies, production and rice seed processing, vaccines and animal medicines, according to Angolan news agency Angop.
Angola’s priorities also include implementation and management of food production projects on a large scale and setting up companies, development of production chains of cereals, fruit, pulses, palm, cotton and livestock production.
According to the Minister of Agriculture, Angola also needs partners capable of providing technical assistance and maintenance of agricultural equipment such as tractors along with their tools and irrigation systems. (macauhub/AO)
