17 March 2015

The proposed State Budget (OGE) revised for 2015 will be taken Thursday to the plenary of the National Assembly for debate and final approval, after being approved in committee, Angolan news agency Angop reported.

On Monday, members of the committees of Economy and Finance and Constitutional and Legal Affairs of the Angolan parliament approved a final detailed report on the bill for the revised state budget.

Following discussions about budget specifics attended by government officials, as well as hearings by specialised committees, parliamentarians recommended a number of actions relating to funding earmarked for institutions, which will be presented at the next plenary meeting.

The proposed revised state budget bill for 2015 includes expenses totalling 5,.454 trillion kwanza (about US$50.9 billion). (macauhub/AO)
