The Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) will grant the Cabo Verde (Cape Verde) Government funding of 11 million euros for water and sanitation in neighbourhoods on the outskirts of the capital, Praia.

The contract for the low-interest, long-term loan was signed in the capital of Cabo Verde by the Cape Verdean Finance Minister, Cristina Duarte, and the Director General of BADEA, Abdelaziz Khalef.

In addition to the loan, BADEA will provide, as a donation, about 230,000 euros for technical assistance to Enapor, the Cape Verdean national port company. (macauhub/CV)
