The Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding for tourism cooperation with the International Exchange Office of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism of Angola, the MGTO said.
The parties agreed to sign the memorandum of understanding, taking into consideration the bonds of friendship and cooperation that unite Macau and Angola, and to promote the development and promotion of cooperation in the various fields of tourism.
The document was signed by MGTO director, Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes and the director of the International Exchange Office of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism of Angola, Rosa António Gomes Cruz.
Under the memorandum, Macau and Angola will promote cooperation and partnerships between small and medium industry, support the organisation of promotional visits by operators, travel agents and hotels, create a system of incentives for the promotion of the tourism industry and offer training for technical staff, among other measures.
Signing the MoU took place on the sidelines of the 10th regular meeting of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macau), taking place in Macau.
The DST has signed similar memoranda with Cabo Verde (Cape Verde), Guinea-Bissau and Mozambique in 2010 and Timor-Leste (East Timor) in 2013. (macauhub/AO/CV/GW/MO/MZ)
