The Embassy of China has gifted one hundred scientific books written in French, Portuguese, Chinese and English to the Lusophone University of Guinea (ULG) and the books were delivered Thursday in Bissau.
At the ceremony to deliver the books the advisor to the University, Rui Sá, said he believed that with the new books college students would be able to deepen their knowledge.
The Ambassador of China in Guinea-Bissau said the donation was part of what he called an educational exchange between the two countries and will help to strengthen the knowledge of Guinean students at the university.
Wang Hua also noted the importance China gives to the relationship with the Portuguese-speaking countries and recalled the Forum for economic and social cooperation known as Macau Forum.
The ambassador also mentioned that Chinese might in time be taught in guinea-Bissau’s schools, as is already the case with French and English. (macauhub/CN/GW)
