Mozambique wants to increase tourism cooperation with Macau

Mozambique wants to strengthen tourism cooperation with Macau, said Tuesday in Macau the Consul General of Mozambique in the territory, on the sidelines of the opening of a food festival which runs until 28 June in the city’s hotels.

“Macau has a lot of experience in tourism, so we would like to see more cooperation in this sector,” said Rafael Marques.

The Consul General noted that China is now a major source of tourists, “who could visit Mozambique, creating the need to build more infrastructure, such as hotels, to welcome them.”

At the same time Marques noted ongoing cooperation projects between Macau and Mozambique in vocational training, finance and education.

The food festival is organised by Mozambican chef Carlos Graça. (macauhub/MO/MZ)
