Portugal’s public debt decreased by 556 million euros in April compared with March, to 225.72 billion euros, according to the June Statistical Bulletin, published Monday in Lisbon by the Bank of Portugal.
The debt net of central government deposits also decreased between those two months, by 458 million euros, from 209.248 billion euros in March to 208.79 billion euros in April.
Compared to December 2014, public debt in April was higher by 440 million euros and the public debt excluding deposits was higher by approximately 662 million euros.
At the end of 2014 Portuguese state debt reached 225.280 billion and the debt net of central government deposits was 208.128 billion. (macauhub/PT)
