Economic cooperation with Portuguese-speaking countries promoted in China

A session to promote Macau Forum and the role of Macau as a platform between China and Portuguese-speaking countries was held last week in Taiyuan, in China’s Shanxi Province, said the support office of Permanent Secretariat of the Forum.

The meeting, held as part of Macau Week and Dynamic Promotion of Macau in Taiyuan, also provided information about the investment and business climate in the Portuguese-speaking countries, and promoted regional trade and economy cooperation.

Shanxi companies attended the session from the energy, mining, construction, agriculture, tourism, food, pharmaceutical, metallurgy, import and export and other sectors.

According to the statement the session presented a number of services for companies interested in investing and finding cooperation partners in Portuguese-speaking countries, promoting regional cooperation in economic and trade areas of and Macau’s role as a privileged platform for trade between China and the Portuguese-speaking countries.
