Italy will have the second largest number of businesses represented at the 32nd edition of the Luanda International Fair (Filda) with 70 businessmen representing 63 companies, an Italian Embassy official said Monday in Luanda.
Mirena Del Grosso, the delegate for the Agency for Foreign Promotion and Internationalization of Italian companies (ICE) and attaché of the Italian Embassy in Angola, also told Angolan news agency Angop that the Italian representation at Angola’s most multi-sectorial fair will cover an area of 90 square metres with 54 stands.
The largest business representation in this year’s Luanda International Fair will once again be to Portugal, with 95 companies.
Del Grosso also said Italy would be represented by companies from various business sectors, including agriculture, industry, industrial machinery, project development and management of water and energy, furniture and food production.
The delegate of ICE said that contrary to what happened in previous editions of Filda, in which Italian businesspeople to part on an individual basis, this time Italy will have an organised presence with government support.
This year’s edition of the Luanda International Fair runs from 21 to 26 July at the premises of the Luanda International Fair (FIL), occupying an area of 50,000 square metres. (macauhub/AO)
