The 2015 edition of the Maputo International Fair (Facim), from 31 August to 6 September in the Marracuene district of Maputo province, southern Mozambique, has already confirmed the participation of 21 countries, said the organization’s president organizer.
The president of the Institute for Export Promotion (Ipex), João Macaringue, told weekly newspaper Domingo that seven other countries had expressed interest in taking part in the event, pending a final decision in the next few days.
Macaringue also said signing up began in February, and more companies, particularly from Mozambique, started signing up in June.
Facim’s organisers want to ensure that exhibitors are organised by theme and country, and the Mozambique pavilion will host the stands of provincial and national institutions.
The Mozambique Tourism Fair is also due to take place during Facim and will have its own properly organised marquee to provide the impact the event needs. (macauhub/MZ)
