Portuguese group Vila Galé will build its eighth hotel unit in Brazil, a tourist resort in Touros, near the city of Natal, representing an investment of 100 million reais (28 million euros), the group said in a statement.
The new facility will be located on the beachfront, will have 500 rooms, three restaurants, a convention centre covering around 1,750 square meters, a nautical centre and several other facilities, and is expected to open to the public in September 2017.
The seven hotel units the group currently has in Brazil are located in Ceará, Pernambuco, Bahia and Rio de Janeiro and have a total of 5,000 beds.
The group, which has three city hotels and four resorts, decided on the construction of another resort as it considered this segment is under represented in Brazil. (macauhub/BR/PT)
