Guinea-Bissau’s State Secretariat for Tourism launched a website – http://www.goguine.com – to promote the country’s image, attract foreign tourists and promote domestic tourism, said Friday in Bissau the Secretary of State for Tourism.
Vicente Fernandes said the website launch was intended to contribute to the development of the country, in the areas of culture, the economy and tourism.
The advisor on Tourist Information and Promotion of Ecotourism, Valdir da Silva, said the initiative was the second step in promoting tourism development after opening counters at the airport for tourists who are arriving or returning.
Valdir noted that the new website would draw Guinea-Bissau closer to other tourist destinations and promote the cultural, economic and tourism reality in Guinea-Bissau. (macauhub/GW)
