More than US$70 million in Angolan public debt Angola traded on the debt and securities exchange in July

Public debt traded on the Angolan Debt and Securities Exchange ​​(Bodiva) in July totalled US$71 million through trade of 63,200 bonds, Bodiva said in a statement published in Luanda.

Bodiva also said that 99 percent of transactions in July – 62,900 Treasury Bonds – were in national currency, involving Banco de Fomento Angola, Banco Angolano de Investimentos and Millennium Angola, with trades accounting for 74.65 percent, 12.71 percent and 12.64 percent of the total, respectively.

In June, the value of traded public debt reached US$178 million following trade of 161,300 bonds and treasury bills.

On Tuesday, the Angolan Debt and Securities Exchange ​​signed a contract with Banco Privado Atlântico authorising the bank to trade state-issued securities, through which it can act on behalf of its customers in the Treasuries Registration Market, in the Wholesale Market and also for Day Trading, Bodiva said.
