A delegation of entrepreneurs from Italy coordinated by the Italian Industrial Confederation (Confindustria) will visit Mozambique during the Maputo International Fair (Facim), due to be held from this 31 August to 6 September, the Italian embassy in Mozambique announced.
The delegation representing nearly 50 companies from the oil and natural gas sector will include Vice-Minister for Economic Development Carlo Calenda, who will visit on 31 August and 1 September, indicates the statement sent to Macauhub on Thursday.
The companies will be able to take part in a meeting co-organised by Confindustria, ICE and the Italian petrochemical group ENI, focusing on business opportunities offered by the sector in Mozambique.
Its agenda includes sessions to present projects that will be developed in the near future and meetings with respective Mozambican authorities.
Italy will be represented at the 51st Facim by more than 60 companies gathered in a single large pavilion organised by the ICE, the agency for foreign promotion and internationalisation of Italian companies.
Facim is Mozambique’s most important fair, offering participating companies an opportunity to raise visibility and propose involvement in projects under way in various sectors deemed strategic for the country’s development. (Macauhub/MZ)
