Brazilian aeronautical manufacturer Embraer posted a net loss attributable to shareholders of 388 million reais (US$100 million) in the third quarter of this year, nearly 16 times higher than losses in the same period of 2014 when the loss totalled 24.3 million reais.
In the second quarter, the company posted a profit of 399.6 million reais.
From January to September Embraer posted accumulated losses of 184.2 million reais.
In the third quarter, Embraer delivered 21 commercial aircraft and 30 executive jets (21 small jets and nine large jets). In the first nine months of 2015 it delivered 68 commercial aircraft and 75 executive jets (57 small and 18 large jets).
Embraer has two factories in Évora, Portugal, and one in Harbin in China. (macauhub/BR/CN/PT)
