The President of São Tomé and Príncipe, Manuel Pinto da Costa, is scheduled to visit Cabo Verde (Cape Verde) from 20 to 24 January 2016 at the invitation of his counterpart Jorge Carlos Fonseca, the Cape Verdean Presidency said.
The schedule for the trip has yet to close but already includes visits to the islands of São Vicente and Santo Antão, as well as the island of Santiago where Costa will meet with the Cabo Verde authorities and the São Tomé community resident on the archipelago.
Cabo Verde’s President visited São Tomé and Príncipe from 10 to 16 July, at the invitation of Manuel Pinto da Costa, to take part in the celebrations of the 40th anniversary of the independence of the archipelago.
On this visit, in addition to contacts with the São Tomé authorities, the head of Cape Verdean state visited several districts where the Cape Verdean diaspora is resident. (macauhub/CV/PT)
