Cabo Verde’s (Cape Verde’s) first International Environment and Renewable Energy Fairr (FIAER) will take place from 11 to 13 February, under the motto “Clean Energy & Sustainable Living & Business for Africa,” said the secretary general of the organising body.
José Luís Neves, secretary general of the Leeward Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services (CCISS), said it was “working hard” to carry out this fair as scheduled.
With this event, Neves told Cape Verdean news agency Inforpress, the aim is to create a space where Cape Verdean companies in the sector and the African sub-region, Europe, America and Asia will be able to interact with each other and establish business partnerships.
“Holding this fair in Cabo Verde is very important, given that renewable energy is considered one of the strategic sectors for the country’s development,” noted Neves.
The fair, which was to have taken place in 2015, in Praia, has the strategic partnership of the Renewable Energy Centre of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). (macauhub/CV)
