The Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) announced it plans to set up an exhibition of food products from Portuguese-speaking countries in Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian Province, located in southern China.
The exhibition, which will be part of IPIM’s representation in Fuzhou, features over 20 food products including wine, coffee, canned goods and olive oil.
IPIM, in a statement issued in Macau, said it intends to promote Macao as a platform for economic and trade relations between China and the Portuguese-speaking countries to businesspeople from Fujian and neighbouring Chinese provinces.
Creating exhibition areas for food from Portuguese-speaking countries in the cities of Shenyang (Liaoning), Hangzhou (Zhejiang), Chengdu (Sichuan), Guangzhou (Guangdong) and Wuhan (Hubei) is also being studied by IPIM as part of its promotion of Macau as services platform between China and the Portuguese-speaking countries and increasing regional cooperation.(macauhub/AO/BR/CV/MZ/ST/CN/PT/TL/GW/MO)
