Brazil’s Embraer delivers 221 aircraft in 2015

Brazilian aeronautical company Embraer in 2015 delivered 120 executive aircraft and 101 commercial aircraft, and for the latter exceeded its initial forecast, the company said in a statement issued Thursday.

In the same statement, Embraer said this year it expects to deliver between 105-110 commercial jet aircraft and in the executive aviation segment between 40 to 50 large aircraft and 75 to 85 light jets.

In 2015, the company achieved net income of 20.301 billion reais (US$5.246 billion) and net profit amounted to 241 million reais (US$62.4 million), or 0.33 reais per share.

For the current year Embraer expects to achieve net income between US$6 billion and US$6.4 billion.

The figures for 2016 include estimated revenue of between US$700 million and US$750 million in the defence and security segment. (macauhub/CN/BR)
